WHO: Dr. Paul Zorner,Locus Agricultural Solutions® (Locus AG) Chief Agronomist and CEO Emeritus, and Karthik Karathur, Locus AG’s President, will be at the Cleantech Forum San Francisco, Jan. 27 – 29. The conference connects people and companies with the power to deliver a decarbonized future and brings together global investors, innovators, corporates and change makers looking for answers to the biggest question: who will lead the transformation we’re all waiting for? The theme of the Forum echoes the growing pressure to deliver solutions: Welcome to the Chaos of the 2020s: Urgent Actions, Unusual Strategies, Unexpected Allies.

WHAT: Dr. Zorner will be on the panel, From Chemicals to Biologicals: Building Microbes for Healthy Soil and High Yield. Karthik Karathur will be participating in the Entrepreneur and Investor Speed Networking event.

WHY: Locus AG is raising funds in a Series B financing round, and Mr. Karathur is available to engage with social impact investors at the conference who are interested in backing the only global award-winning biotechnology in the world that can be used to immediately and simultaneously grow more food on less land, help fight climate change, and reduce the use of toxic chemicals in agriculture.

With 40-plus years of experience in global agricultural product development and a current focus on using biologicals to improve soil health and crop yields, Dr. Zorner was invited to share insights on an agricultural trend that reflects the need to find a clean alternative to synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. He will be commenting on the benefits of using biologicals to fix nitrogen in the soil, control pests, sequester atmospheric carbon and make crops more resilient.
